Nokogiriyama, a 329-meter-high mountain in the southern part of Chiba Prefecture, is just one-hour drive away from Tokyo Metropolitan area. Sharply cut vertical cliffs in the north are the remains of stone cutting industry flourished in 1900s, while the south side is the precinct of 1300-year-old Nihon-ji temple with amazing 1,500 Buddha statues lined all along the trail. While you can visit Nokogiriyama all by yourself, a guided tour that tells you all the stories to go with each breath-taking spot makes a difference. | 2021年に鋸山が日本遺産候補地域に選定されたのを契機に、鋸山有償ガイド育成事業が実施され、2024年3月までの2年間の研修を経て、16名が日本遺産「候補地域」活用推進協議会より有償ガイドとして認定を受けました。
この資格は、鋸山に関する座学やガイドとしてのホスピタリティー、安全管理などガイドに必要な総合的な知識やスキルを習得し、一定のレベルに達した方に付与されます。 In 2021, Nokogiriyama was selected as a candidate for Japan Heritage, and Nokogiriyama Guide Training Program was implemented. After completing the training sessions, the certification is granted to those who acquired the comprehensive knowledge of the mountain, first aid and safety management, and other skills necessary for guiding. |
一般社団法人鋸山ガイドセンター：通称「ウィーガイド鋸山」は2024年5月に発足したガイド派遣組織です。鋸山「日本遺産」活用推進協議会の認定を受けた鋸山のプロガイドが所属し、このガイドの派遣および鋸山の各種ガイドツアーの実施を行っています。また、行政の枠を超えた「鋸山エリア」の価値を高めることをめざし、その役を担う人材の育成も行います。
